Uncool Angels is a magnetic and trailblazing female duo born in May 2023 in South Africa, made up of the dazzling talents of Nnana Nthangeni from Soweto, Johannesburg, and Refrieca Consent Chiloane from Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga. What began as fearless and spontaneous dancefloor performances quickly transformed into a phenomenon. With their explosive energy, undeniable charm, and commanding stage presence, they captivated the nightlife scene — and naturally evolved into one of the most exciting DJ acts to emerge from the country.

Before becoming DJs, the duo carved out impressive careers as professional dancers. They used to perform live for major South African artists and were featured on platforms such as SA Idols, where their vibrant presence added flair to live shows. Refrieca’s journey was profoundly shaped by her time with the renowned theatre company Umoja, which gave her the opportunity to travel the world and refine her craft. Nnana, on the other hand, began dancing at a very young age, with her foundation in ballet forming the basis of her strong technique and artistic expression. This rich background in dance deeply influences their DJ performances, adding a unique visual and emotional layer that sets them apart.

Today, Uncool Angels stand as a genre-defying, movement-driven powerhouse, masterfully blending Amapiano, 3-Step, Afro House, and Afro Tech into pulsating live sets that go far beyond music — they create immersive experiences.
